Technical and Process

Peter Hurrell, a Graduate Engineer, quickly moved his area of expertise to waste water treatment and ultimately all aspects of water treatment and management. Initially working as a Project Manager and Design Engineer for Taylor Woodrow, this ultimately led to his role as an Engineering Consultant.  Clients included Northern Ireland Water Services, McNicholas, and Clancy-Docwra to international assignments in Europe and the Middle East.

Peter can certainly claim to be the foremost technical expert for the Gravity Pressure Vessel, and his knowledge of waste and water treatment is enormous, demonstrated by the many articles for the technical press he has authored.Notably, Peter worked extensively on the VerTech Treatment Systems Aqueous Phase Oxidation (APO) Plant, at the Veluwe Water Board at Apeldoorn in the Netherlands.  As the original commercial exploitation of the GPV process, his knowledge and experience in this technology is unsurpassed.

Geoff MacLaren, B.Sc. C.Eng. ACI.Arb

Geoff is a highly experienced engineer, having worked for Monk and Company, Daniel Pipelines and OBG from 1974 to 1992.

He then created his own construction company, before starting a JV between Peel Holdings and himself in 2003.  This company Peel Facilities, and the knowledge gained has provided Geoff a unique position of being able to draw on the strengths of the Peel Holding Group, in particular Peel Ports, Peel Airports, The Trafford Centre and Peel Land and Property.

In conjunction with Land and Marine, Geoff will head up all engineering and construction management and delivery.
